We hope everyone enjoyed and survived their 4th of July weekend. We think it went by too quickly. We actually spent a weekend at home if you can believe it. Since we have not been home in quite a while we had a lot to catch up on at the house and many projects that had been sitting. Plus we had a few errands to do to get ready for our trip to New York on Thursday. We did get a few things done along with some relaxing so I would say it was a success.
Abby and I started the weekend off with some haircuts and pedicures.
Here is Abby getting her toes painted after her haircut. She really likes Emily and actually lets her blow dry her hair as well. She picked out her own toe nail polish as well.
Getting the first glossy coat.
Abby was pretty proud of herself, behaving well, and having a good time.
Getting the final touches.
Here are the purple toes. She was pretty cute as we walked to the back for my pedicure. She was walking on her heels and going slow telling people she had to be careful.
Later that day we decided to bust out the $7 we spent in fireworks for Abby and did some black cats and sparklers. We weren't sure about the weather for the 4th so we took advantage of the weather we had. Abby enjoyed the sparklers and we still have some leftover to do this week.
She did a lot of circle drawing.
Here's Megan in her exersaucer. She is actually tall enough to touch the floor on the shortest level, however we have to put a towel around her to prop her up. She's figuring out the toys and just can't move her hands fast enough. There is a video of her below.
Then of course we had to see the Slenker's. Here is Abby and Landen on our way to Sparky's for some ice cream. Megan is chilling in the front.
Here's a video of Megan in the exersaucer. You can here Abby in the background "helping" Tim put together an end table. Tim is enjoying all of his help to say the least.
On Thursday we head to New York for Andrew's wedding and then a trip up to Niagara Falls for a little family vacation. It's Megan's first flight and Abby's first flight where she actually gets her own seat. I'm sure there will be plenty of photos and a couple of videos.
